Position Description 

Kibali Gold Mine is seeking to recruit three (3) Junior Geologists – Exploration to join and grow our team.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct geological mapping, rock chip sampling, soil sampling, and trench logging.

• Assist in drill site preparation, core logging, and sample collection.

• Ensure accurate recording and labeling of geological samples

• Input and manage geological data in databases and GIS systems.

• Assist in interpreting geochemical, geophysical, and drilling results.

• Prepare preliminary geological reports and maps.

• Support senior geologists in planning and executing exploration programs.

• Monitor drilling operations and ensure compliance with sampling protocols.

• Maintain field equipment and ensure safety standards are followed

• Adhere to company safety policies and environmental regulations.

• Participate in safety briefings and risk assessments.

• Promote a culture of safe and responsible exploration practices.

• Work in compliance with ISO 14001 and 45001 Standards

Experience and Skills Requirements: 

• 0–2 years of experience in mining or exploration (graduate roles welcome) 

• Basic understanding of geology and mining principles

• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy

• Ability to work in field and mine environments

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• Willingness to learn and adapt in operational settings

• Basic computer skills (Excel, GIS, or geological software preferred)

Qualification Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology or Earth Sciences

•  Knowledge of geological software (Surpac, Datamine, Leapfrog, or similar) is an advantage
