General Purpose and Scope of Position:Ā Ā 

TheĀ role of the Sales SupportĀ SpecialistĀ is toĀ support theĀ processes and functions of the sales team. The Sales SupportĀ SpecialistĀ will work with sales staff inĀ locationsĀ toĀ scout fields, create maps inĀ AgVerdict, input dataĀ like recommendations and orders, andĀ provide-on farm support of grower’sĀ equipment,Ā as well asĀ assistĀ the salesĀ managers and representatives inĀ other duties needed.Ā

  • Ability to understand the needs and values of theĀ locationĀ sales teams and customers and to develop solutions to meet objectivesĀ

  • Ability to work overtime during busy seasonĀ

Key Personal Attributes Include:Ā 

  • ExperienceĀ utilizingĀ agronomy technologyĀ 

  • Advanced knowledge of building fertility programs based on field dataĀ 

  • Basic knowledge of computers and software systems allowing data gathering and tracking on soils, crops, water management, pests and to help the growerĀ determineĀ his specific precision needsĀ 

  • Basic knowledge of all equipmentĀ utilizedĀ in building a technology programĀ 

  • Possess leadership, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skillsĀ

Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:Ā 

  • Support field scout, soil sampling, and pest reportingĀ for all assigned growers or fieldsĀ 

  • Accurately inputĀ data in an organized and systematic wayĀ utilizingĀ all systems withĀ expertiseĀ 

  • Work closely with theĀ locationĀ teams and growers to develop specific farm technology programs,Ā demonstratingĀ site specificĀ techniques thatĀ to increase crop production and/or improve crop management. This includes all segments of the Ag Verdict System, mapping, water management, fertility, record keeper, traceability, yield mapping, variable rate fertilizer applicationsĀ 

  • Provide demonstration of the value and profitability of technology at all levels, grower,Ā locationĀ andĀ districtĀ 

  • Provide theĀ locationsĀ data to support the profitability of precision agricultureĀ 

  • Conduct training on all aspects of precision agriculture to theĀ locationĀ teamsĀ 

  • Make presentations on Technology to growers, branchĀ teamsĀ and Wilbur-Ellis managementĀ 

  • Ensure open communication and data sharing and an ability to conveyĀ appropriate senseĀ of urgency withĀ sales representatives, operations,Ā and management as necessaryĀ 

  • Build strong relationshipsĀ with co-workers and grower customersĀ 

  • Launch the new Ag Verdict Technology system at all levels including all segments of the Ag Verdict System, mapping, water management, fertility, record keeper, traceability, yield mapping, variable rate fertilizer applicationsĀ 

  • Maintain a thorough agronomic and technical knowledge of proprietary products and services to support some customer complaints and work to resolve themĀ 

  • Other duties as assignedĀ

Compensation and Benefits:Ā 

  • In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $45,400 - $60,610. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience.Ā Ā Ā 

  • This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, and retirement plan participation, including an employer contribution of up to 7% into your 401(k).
