Description

Position Summary:

Supports developmental prototype construction of new product and sustaining improvement initiatives. Acts as core contributor in teams’ efforts to product design, verification, validation, productization, and documentation.


Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supports development of products, including building sub-assemblies, PCBAs, cables, baluns and interconnects in compliance with the company’s Quality Management System requirements.
  • Compiles and maintains traceable documentation for prototype builds, including BOM development, providing design for manufacturability feedback, and communicating build progress.
  • Works with internal and external customers to ensure designs meet manufacturability, service and customer requirements.
  • Initiates and contributes to problem solving and continuous improvement activities for both development projects and mature products.
  • Executes core duties and responsibilities of the role in accordance with the established skills competencies.
  • All other duties, as assigned.

Requirements

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • AAS or related field of study, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • 3 to 6 years of engineering technician experience is required. Experience in the medical device manufacturing industry and with electro-magnetic devices is preferred.
  • Excellent soldering capability is required.
  • Ability to read schematics (RF, analog, digital) is required.
  • Basic knowledge of test instrumentation (oscilloscope, DMM, network analyzer, power supplies, function generators, etc.) is required.
  • Thorough understanding of hand tools required for assembling electronic components (i.e. soldering iron, pliers, and wire strippers) is required.
  • Basic computer competency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) and business specific software (e.g. ERP, eQMS)
