What You’ll Do

  • Receive, review, and accurately fill prescriptions
  • Communicate with physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding patient medications
  • Counsel patients on medications, proper usage, and over-the-counter options
  • Listen to patient concerns and provide guidance and education
  • Measure, prepare, and dispense medications with accuracy and care
  • Review prescriptions for appropriateness, accuracy, and legality
  • Maintain detailed patient dispensing records and review PMP for controlled substances
  • Oversee medication inventory, stocking, and labeling to ensure safety and compliance
  • Monitor medications to prevent expiration or deterioration
  • Prepare medications using correct dosages and materials for each patient
  • Maintain an organized pharmacy workflow for efficiency and safety
  • Stay current on pharmaceutical advancements through continuing education
  • Ensure compliance with all pharmacy laws, regulations, and procedures

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an ACPE-accredited program
  • Active Texas State Board of Pharmacy Pharmacist License
  • Texas Sterile Compounding Certification (Required)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
  • Excellent communication and patient counseling skills

Mon-Thurs: 11:00am-7:00pm; 12:00pm-8:00pm; 2:00pm-10:00pm. Fri: 11:00am-7:00pm. Weekend availability is a must - they are alternating weekends every 3rd or 4th weekend. Sat: 10:00am-4:00pm. Sun: 12:00pm-6:00pm.
