Registered Nurse (RN) – Job Description
Position Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to provide safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care in hospitals, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and rehabilitation centers. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing monitoring.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility policies.
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
- Monitor patient conditions and promptly report significant changes.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Delegate appropriate patient care tasks to CNAs and other support staff.
- Supervise nursing activities to ensure quality patient care.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain infection prevention and patient safety standards.
- Demonstrate sound clinical judgment and critical thinking in all patient care situations.
- Promote a positive, respectful, and culturally sensitive care environment.
- Maintain flexibility with patient assignments, floating, and staffing needs.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program.
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Minimum 6 months of recent RN experience.
- Current BLS/CPR Certification (ACLS preferred where applicable).
- Negative TB test (as required).
- Successful background check.
- Annual physical examination (if required by the facility).
- Compliance with facility COVID-19 vaccination and screening requirements.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and support up to 80 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift.
- Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations.
