As a Senior Internal Audit Analyst, you'll play a role in assessing internal control design and effectiveness at Nasdaq by executing risk-based assurance and advisory engagements to test our control activities.
You'll thrive in this position if you’re detail-oriented, analytical, and bring a strategic mindset to risk and controls. You'll work across multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment where your expertise directly impacts the North American equity and options exchanges.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform assurance and advisory engagements to evaluate internal control design and effectiveness in the North American Market Services Portfolio.
- Interact with relevant stakeholders from all levels of the business to gather information for audit testing during fieldwork and to verify post audit finding remediation.
- Leverage audit automation techniques and data analytics to provide deeper and/or more efficient audit coverage in the portfolio.
- Prepare thorough audit workpapers and reports that follow Global Internal Audit Standards, as well as Nasdaq’s Internal Audit Department Standards.
- Regularly communicate with a small and geographically diverse team assigned to audit the North American Market Services Portfolio.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in internal audit, risk management, and/or compliance.
- Strong organization, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional auditing certifications such as CIA, CISA, CPA, or equivalent.
- Experience in financial services, fintech, or regulated industry.
- Experience using TeamMate+ or other audit management software.
- Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, IT audit frameworks (COBIT, ITIL), and data analytics platforms (Alteryx).
This position will be located in Philadelphia and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in-office, subject to change, providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.
