Responsibilities

  • Deliver warm, attentive, and efficient service in a fast-paced bar and lounge setting
  • Craft classic and creative cocktails with precision and consistency
  • Create an engaging and welcoming atmosphere for guests
  • Maintain expert knowledge of menu items, wine, beer, and beverage programs
  • Continuously expand knowledge of food, beverage, and industry trends
  • Ensure cleanliness, organization, and safety behind the bar
  • Collaborate effectively with restaurant and hotel teams to enhance the overall guest experience

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of bartending experience in a fine dining or upscale casual environment
  • Strong knowledge of classic cocktails and modern mixology
  • Friendly, professional, and engaging personality
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and remain composed in a high-volume environment
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Fluency in English required; additional languages a plus
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods indoors in a climate-controlled workstation
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move goods weighing up to 40 lbs

The Study at University City, the second property of the Study Hotels brand, is located at the crossroads of the University of Pennsylvania and Drexel University in the heart of University City in Philadelphia, PA.
