Key Responsibilities
- Clean and prepare job sites for daily work activities
- Assist the safety team in maintaining a safe work environment
- Handle, move, and organize materials throughout the job site
- Support carpenters and field supervisors with assigned tasks and projects
- Load and unload deliveries, materials, tools, and equipment
- Assist with daily construction activities on residential and commercial job sites
- Perform site cleanup and maintain orderly work areas
- Operate basic hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Provide support to skilled trades as needed
- Follow all company safety procedures and job site rules
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of construction experience
- General knowledge of construction practices, job site safety, and proper tool usage
- Ability to provide dependable support to field supervision
- Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills on the job site
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
- Must be physically agile and mobile, remain alert, and stand or walk for extended periods
- Must be able to use hands, fingers, and arms to reach, handle, and manipulate materials and tools
- Must be able to climb ladders, scaffolds, and other elevated surfaces
- Must be comfortable working on uneven surfaces and at heights
- Must be able to read and write effectively
- Must have adequate vision and hearing, with or without correction
- Must be able to lift and carry materials of various shapes and sizes weighing 50–100 pounds up to 75% of the time
