About the Job
Ardmac are recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage the commercial and surveying aspects of a major high value industrial project located in Somerset.


Responsibilities of the Senior Quantity Surveyor:


In this role, you will be working on the following tasks:

•    Overall financial, contractual and legal contract of the project.
•    Working on basis of strong knowledge and understanding of our obligations under the Contract. 
•    Preparation of contract budget 
•    Administration of Contract Records. 
•    Attendance at meetings such as contract handover meeting
•    Produce regular cost reports 
•    Measurement and valuation. 
•    Production of Loss and Expense claims with Surveying Manager / Commercial Director. 
•    Production and agreement of Final Accounts. 
•    Form Relationship with PQS/Client/consultants/Supply Chain. 
•    Development and mentoring of commercial staff within the project team


Required Candidate Skills and Experience

Qualifications:

•    BSc in Quantity Surveying


Ability and knowledge of:

•    Knowledge of construction methods and technology
•    Knowledge & understanding of measurement, valuation, claims, loss & expense
•    Knowledge & understanding of Final Accounts
•    Knowledge & understanding of subcontract/materials orders & buying
