Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Account Manager to join our growing commercial team, support the Dairy function, and drive profitable growth with strategic customer accounts in our Philadelphia, PA location.


The Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of strategic customer accounts. This role serves as the primary commercial contact for assigned customers and is accountable for developing long-term customer partnerships, driving revenue growth, managing commercial negotiations, and leading cross-functional teams to successfully execute customer initiatives. The ideal candidate combines strong commercial acumen, relationship-building skills, and a passion for the food industry to help customers bring new products and innovations to market.


What You'll Do


Strategic Account Management

  • Develop and execute annual business strategy for assigned accounts.
  • Identify opportunities for revenue, volume, and profitability growth, including incremental growth and new customer development.
  • Manage sales forecasts, pipeline development, and account performance metrics.
  • Deliver regular business reviews and strategic growth recommendations.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary commercial contact for key customer stakeholders.
  • Build relationships across procurement, R&D, quality, operations, marketing, and executive leadership functions.
  • Lead customer meetings and strategic planning sessions.
  • Ensure customer expectations are communicated and executed internally.

Market Intelligence

  • Monitor industry trends, customer strategies, and competitive activity.
  • Share market insights and customer feedback with internal stakeholders.
  • Support category growth and strategic business planning initiatives.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in sales, account management, business development, or related commercial roles.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and business analytics tools.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25–40% of the time.

Preferred

  • Experience in food ingredients, dairy, food manufacturing, beverage, bakery, or consumer packaged goods (CPG).
  • Experience supporting product commercialization and innovation projects.
  • Knowledge of supply chain planning, demand forecasting, and pricing strategy.
