Temple Health is searching for an Advance Practice Provider Lead (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to support the Endo and GI clinic team. This role falls under the Temple Faculty Practice division.
Setting: Outpatient
Hours: Fulltime: M-F, 8 hrs. a day/ 40 hrs. a week | No On Call or Weekends
Location: Temple Main with a possible rotation to Episcopal, Jeanes & Chestnut Hill campus
Job Summary
The Lead Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) is an integral member of the healthcare team, qualified through academic and clinical education to provide patient care services under the supervision of staff physicians. This role encompasses both clinical and administrative responsibilities within the clinic. The Lead APP will oversee clinical operations, ensure adherence to best practices, and manage administrative duties. Additionally, the Lead APP will play a pivotal role in the planning and training of new PAs/NPs. All responsibilities are subject to approval by the Medical Staff Board. Reporting to the Director of APPs, the Lead APP is accountable to the supervising physician and the department.
Education
Bachelor's Degree Nursing or Healthcare related field Required
Master's Degree Accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program and Science in Nursing Required
Doctorate Degree DNP Preferred or
Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree Required
Experience
2 years experience in a clinical specialty as a CRNP or PA Required
General Experience with Epic Required
2 years experience in healthcare leadership Preferred
Endo & GI experience is strongly preferred
Licenses
PA Medical Physician Asst Lic Required or
PA Cert Reg Nurse Practitioner Required
Basic Life Support Required
