The IT Business Analyst acts as a liaison between IT and business units across CBH. Situated in the Information Technology department, they are responsible for working with end users to fully understand the business definitions of data, including but not limited to, where the data is collected or published, the workflows involved in data collection, gathering both technical and business specifications for projects, and the technologies necessary to make it a useful resource for data consumers. The incumbent will assist in assuring that technical systems meet the company’s data needs for program planning and agency performance measures. The Business Analyst is responsible for translating requirements into specifications involving appropriate analytic reporting and technologies and advocating for the work force work-flow in the creation of new tools/solutions.

Essential Functions:Â
- Investigation and documentation of various work processes
- Developing model reports/ templates to support end-user self-service and to improve validity of data collected.
- Analyzing reporting requirements to determine if needed data already exists in reporting environments
- Collaborating with business stakeholders, developers, analysts, data architects, database administrators and business analysts in business units as well as both local and enterprise technology units to meet reporting needs of stakeholdersÂ
- Ensuring data quality is maintained by identifying data integration errors and working to improve data quality
- Determining ways to reuse data structures and processes to meet other reporting needs
- Providing support to data integration developers by documenting rules and procedures required to transform, process and load data into reporting solutions
 Position Requirements:Â
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics/Statistics, Computer/Information Science, or related field requiredÂ
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in analytics
- Interest in working in behavioral health is required; experience is preferredÂ
- Other combinations of education and experience may be evaluated on a case-by-case basis
- Technical Skills Required:
- Experience in MS Office suite, including ExcelÂ
- Intermediate relational database understanding required
- Familiarity with SQL required
- Exposure to data capture technology solutions (i.e.: SharePoint, QuickBase, Formverse, etc.)
- Excellent critical thinking, analytic, evaluation and problem-solving skills required
- Ability to prepare clear, accurate and informative reports and documentationÂ
- Experience in implementing business intelligence reporting and analytics solutions is preferredÂ

Work Conditions (including travel, overtime required, physical requirements and occupational exposure):Â
- Requires on-call and on-site off hours support during overnight hours, weekends and holidays to ensure 24/7 operations.
- Requires ability to travel, including overnight travel, as needed.
- Regularly requires walking, standing, stooping, bending, sitting, reaching, pushing, pulling and/or repetitive wrist/hand movements for various lengths of time throughout the day.
- Ability to utilize computers and office equipment to complete daily work responsibilities.
- Regularly works inside in areas that are adequately lighted and ventilated. Â Some fluctuation in temperature. No protective equipment routinely needed.
- Must be able to adapt to continuous changes/demands of the job.
Philadelphia Residency Requirement:
- The successful candidate must be a current Philadelphia resident or become a resident within six months of hire.Â
