Description:

Nazareth Hospital is looking for a Chief Plant Operations Stationary Engineer to join our Plant Operations Team.

Job Title:  Chief Plan Operations Stationary Engineer

Employment Type: Full-Time, 40 hours per week

Shift: Day Shift

Position Purpose

Acts as liaison between the Director of Plant Operations and the plant operations personnel.

   

As a Chief Operations Plant Stationary Engineer you will:

  • They assist the Director in the monitoring and supervision of the hospital facilities, equipment and staff.

  • Submits work schedules, delegates specific job assignments to engineer personnel as approved by the Director of Plant Operations.

  • Assists Director in orienting new employees and contractors in plant operations functions.

  •  Performs maintenance involving inspection, greasing, oiling, adjusting and cleaning on the following: pressure boilers, hot water heating systems, air handling units.

  •  Dismantles machinery and equipment to gain access to and the removal of defective parts and repairs and replaces worn or broken parts.

  • Other duties as assigned by director

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School graduate and/or vocational training

  • City of Philadelphia Class "A" Stationary Engineer License

  • Must demonstrate proficiency in several trades

  • Must be able to interpret blueprints and work from drawings

  • .Must demonstrate proficiency in building maintenance techniques

  • Must demonstrate proficiency in the operations of elevators and emergency power generators.

  • Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience and demonstrate supervisory qualities.
