About Woodstock Family Center

Woodstock Family Center (WFC) provides emergency housing and supportive services to families with children who are working toward permanent housing. While in the program, families focus on housing stability, employment, health, community involvement, and educational success. What You'll Do

As a Children's Education Coordinator, you will:

  • Conduct needs-based assessments and service planning for children and youth.
  • Support children's safety, well-being, health, school attendance, and developmental needs.
  • Coordinate services and connect children and families to community resources and external programs.
  • Serve as a liaison between families, schools, treatment providers, and case managers.
  • Assist children and families in achieving educational and therapeutic goals.
  • Develop and implement engaging daily activities for children.
  • Monitor children's educational progress and learning environments.
  • Supervise school attendance, academic performance, and recognition activities.
  • Ensure compliance with the McKinney-Vento Reauthorization Act and educational advocacy requirements.
  • Assist with implementation of trauma-informed programming and Bright Horizons funding requirements.
  • Develop and coordinate a high-quality summer camp focused on cognitive, social, and emotional development.
  • Participate in collaborative community efforts supporting homeless children and families.
  • Prepare reports, documentation, and correspondence as required.
  • Collaborate closely with the program leadership team.
