Principal Mission:

The Copywriter is responsible for writing marketing materials and other company materials across print and digital media. The position will work closely with the Sr. Copywriter, VP of Advertising, and other Marketing team members. Minimal design work may be required as part of the position. The Copywriter is responsible for maintaining the PFFCU brand and supporting marketing and sales strategies.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, English, Communications, or related field required

Qualifications:

  • 4 years of experience writing in an advertising agency or in-house marketing department.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience writing advertising for direct mail, print collateral, email, and website content.
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to tailor the brand voice to the marketing channel. Able to write clear, engaging and consistent messaging.
  • Strong attention to details.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Acrobat Pro (PC Platform) required.
  • Excellent project management skills; comfort managing multiple assignments simultaneously, working in a fast-paced environment, and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to understand and represent member perspectives and to translate consumer/market needs into day-to-day project work.
  • Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work within a team and with other departments in a constructive manner that supports PFFCU’s values of member service, teamwork, commitment, and performance.
  • Ability to learn the features and benefits of PFFCU’s products and services as well as those offered by other financial institutions.
  • Ability to work in a regulated industry to ensure legally compliant messaging.


Major Responsibilities:

  1. Develop/manage engaging content for internal and external marketing materials to support project strategy and goals. This includes print, email, and other digital channels.
  2. Track project work and identify milestones and deliverables. Report on progress to Sr. Copywriter.
  3. Learn the features and benefits of PFFCU products and services as well as our key market differentiators.
  4. Stay up-to-date on industry and competitor trends to inform day-to-day project work. 5. Archive files, maintaining established naming conventions and processes/procedures.
  1. Perform related tasks and other duties, as assigned.
  2. Ability to use a personal computer, enter information via keyboard, and access information from a computer screen.
