The Packer Avenue Marine Terminal is operated by Greenwich Terminals LLC and is one of the most productive terminals in the United States.
The facility employs 12 highly productive and safe in-house labor crews and offers 19 start times which creates greater flexibility for vessel departure and arrival times. Â This adds up to cargo being moved faster, discharged faster, and saves distributors time and money.
Greenwich Terminals is looking for qualified mechanics to contribute to the overall terminal operations by inspecting and maintaining company equipment and vehicle. Heavy Equipment experience preferred. Positions are available on the 2nd and 3rd shift.   Union benefits include paid vacation and holidays, full health care at no cost to the employee, and a pension and severance fund.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform various tasks to maintain vehicle functional condition:
- Inspecting and testing equipment;
- Complete preventative maintenance, such as engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire changes, replacing filters, etc.;
- Repairing engine failures;
- Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions;
- Replacing parts and components;
- Listening to and understanding operator complaints
- Verify vehicle capability by conducting test drives, adjusting controls and systems.
- Maintain equipment records by documenting service and repairs.
- Possess a basic knowledge of parts and parts ordering.
- Advance career knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading technical publications, etc.
- Upkeep vehicle appearance by cleaning and washing.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
- Utilize safe working practices and obey all company safety policies.
- Able to work satellite sites no further than 10 miles travel distance.

Requirements:
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- 2+ years automotive or equipment mechanic experience OR Technical School diploma
