The Director of Core Infrastructure & Cloud Engineering is responsible for overseeing all server hardware, operating systems, and data center management, including Windows, Unix/Linux, AIX, VMware, and cloud infrastructure. This role leads the design, implementation, and management of Microsoft Azure and some Microsoft 365 services, ensuring secure, scalable, and cost-effective solutions. Responsibilities include cloud strategy development, migration and optimization of workloads in Azure, administration of Microsoft 365 applications, and driving innovation in hybrid and multi-cloud environments. The Director partners closely with executive leadership, security, application teams, and business stakeholders to align infrastructure strategy with organizational objectives.
This role requires three days on-site (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) at Temple Health Women's and Families Hospital.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field Required
Master's Degree MIS or related field Preferred or
Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree Required
Experience
10+ years experience with Server OS such as Windows, Unix, Linux server, AIX and VMware Required
10+ years experience in System Administration, Architecting, and designing complex IT systems Required
5 years Operating in and/or managing a data center managing Microsoft Azure Cloud Infrastructure and services including Microsoft 365 environments Required
5 years experience operating in a large multi-site Enterprise Network Required
5 years experience in management role in a healthcare/hospital environment Preferred
