Section 2: Position Purpose

The Director of Facilities plays a crucial role in overseeing the management, strategic planning, and senior leadership of the operations department. This position requires strong leadership and negotiation skills, business development acumen, project management expertise, process improvement capabilities, and a solid understanding of facility operations. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to lead diverse groups of personnel, have excellent communication skills, ability to manage a regional workforce, have a firm grasp of Facility processes and software applications. Regional travel is a must to support the programs operated.

Section 3: Major Responsibilities

Direct Supervision of the following areas within the Business Operation Departments:

FACILITIES OPERATIONS

  • Ensure proper maintenance of all operated premises
  • Manage the facility staff across multiple affiliates in Pennsylvania.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of the department’s policies and procedures
  • Supervise the completion of routine maintenance and emergency repairs including incidents that occur after hours/weekends
  • Utilize the company property management software system to manage all aspects of the Facilities Department. This includes staff and contractor work assignments, maintenance request tracking as well as property listings and attributes
  • Manage the lifecycle of all properties to include inspections, zoning, walk-throughs, licensing, and any other work-related procedures to operating licensed programs.
  • Oversee the use of outside contractors and vendors in support of facility operations.
  • Obtain/maintain all contractor requirements, insurances, and other related documentation
  • Manage purchasing and invoicing to include soliciting bids and awarding contracts and providing payments for service rendered
  • Assist in the acquisition, setup and closure of affiliate properties
  • Provide input and feedback to senior management on all matters related to property maintenance and facility operations

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field is preferred but not required.

Knowledge of Office software programs

  • Individual must be able to meet physical requirements of the job: 
    • Sitting at a meeting table or desk – Reaching – Lifting – Bending – Standing – Stooping – Twisting - Climbing steps - Driving a vehicle
  • Environment(s) is primarily in person with some off-site opportunity
  • Travel between the states of Delaware, New Jersey, and Eastern Pennsylvania
