This role is intended for full-time graduate students enrolled in a PhD program. Doctoral students receive a fellowship award, including a stipend, as financial support for their graduate studies. Job Duties
- Design and execute experiments relevant to student's thesis research project, following established protocols and safety guidelines
- Collect, record, and analyze experimental data using appropriate statistical and computational tools
- Prepare and present research findings at lab meetings, departmental seminars, and conferences. Assist with manuscript preparation for publication in peer reviewed journals, poster presentations, and grant applications.
- Collaborate with faculty researchers, postdoctoral trainees, and other students on research project design and execution
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree Biomedical or basic science area of study
Additional Qualifications
- Accepted into or enrolled in PhD biomedical or basic science program within the Jefferson College of Life Sciences
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Physical Demands
Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
