Job Duties and Responsibilities:Â
Main responsibility is to be the direct line communication and management of driversÂ
Interview drivers to ensure job duties and expectations align from both driver and companyÂ
Frequent communication to make sure we are meeting drivers’ expectationsÂ
Approve and review driver pay for accuracyÂ
Ensure driver pay thresholds are metÂ
Review and discuss safety analytics with driverÂ
AssureTransfloscanning is currentÂ
Ensure all driver training certificates and expirations are currentÂ
Manage driver OJT and onboarding checklist reviewsÂ
Complete driver performance reviewsÂ
Responsible for meeting or exceeding driver turnover ratioÂ
Meet or exceed budgeted driver countÂ
Monitor accuracy of driver profiles and schedulesÂ
Speak-ups and People Element survey reportingÂ
Work with HR (Human Resources) & safety regional managers on corrective actions and compliance occurrencesÂ
Other duties as assignedÂ

Education/Experience/Licenses/Certifications:Â
Bachelor’s Degree preferredÂ
High school diploma or equivalent requiredÂ
2 years’ experience in the direct management of personnel preferredÂ
Bulk transportation preferredÂ
Â
Skills Required:Â
Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skillsÂ
Management experience preferredÂ
Strong time management and organizational skillsÂ
Ability to exercise independent judgement. Â
Ability to direct and manage employees and contractorsÂ
Ability to follow established policies and procedures of the companyÂ
Knowledge of Federal DOT, OSHA, and EPA regulationsÂ
Must be able to work with interruptions and deadlinesÂ
Must be able to effectively interact with internal and external customersÂ

Physical Demands/Working Conditions:Â
Majority of time will be spent at the service center- in the office and on the yardÂ
Flexibility in scheduled hours and days worked is requiredÂ
Occasional weekend work and non-business hours availability is requiredÂ
Occasional travel to other service centers as neededÂ
