Enswell is an all-day restaurant serving New American comfort food. It boasts a full café program for takeaway or dine in, a comprehensive cocktail menu focusing on local spirits, and a New Liberty Distillery bottle shop. Owned and operated by Rival Bros Coffee Roasters, Enswell connects the coffee expertise and hospitality they are renowned for with culinary excellence in a stunning yet approachable environment.


We are looking for a Front of House Floor Manager who is passionate about hospitality and committed to creating memorable guest experiences. At Enswell, our managers are more than operational leaders—they are gracious hosts who set the tone for service, support their team, and ensure every guest feels genuinely welcomed and cared for. Managers are entrusted with overseeing the dining room, leading service with confidence, and maintaining the high standards of hospitality that define the Enswell experience. They are expected to be visible on the floor, anticipate the needs of both guests and team members, and step in wherever support is needed throughout each service. As a small restaurant, our success depends on collaboration. Every member of the team contributes beyond their individual responsibilities, and our managers lead by example with a hands-on approach, fostering a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and genuine hospitality. The responsibilities outlined below reflect the expectation that managers remain adaptable, supportive, and fully engaged in every aspect of front-of-house operations.

Role Summary: 

The Front of House Floor Manager reports to the General Manager and is responsible for leading the daily front-of-house operation and ensuring every guest receives an exceptional hospitality experience. This role oversees the FOH team, maintains service standards, coaches employees, and provides active floor leadership during service.

This is a hands-on leadership position. The Front of House Manager spends the majority of their time on the floor supporting employees, interacting with guests, and ensuring smooth restaurant operations while balancing administrative responsibilities 

Essential Job Duties:

  • Leading daily floor operations to deliver exceptional guest service, uphold hospitality standards, manage reservations and seating, and resolve routine guest concerns.
  • Recruiting, onboarding, training, coaching, evaluating, and developing Front-of-House team members while fostering a positive, engaged team culture and administering performance management and progressive discipline.
  • Managing Front-of-House staffing by creating schedules and making daily labor adjustments to align staffing levels with business needs.
  • Overseeing Front-of-House operational execution, including daily service, inventory and ordering, implementation of standard operating procedures, and opening and closing procedures.
  • Maintaining compliance with company policies, sanitation standards, alcohol service regulations, and health department requirements.

  • Strong knowledge of products sold in retail bottle shop, cafe, restaurant, bar, and retail coffee program

Qualifications: 

  • 2 years of restaurant management or hospitality leadership experience
  • Passion for hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiences
  • Strong guest recovery and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast paced environment 
  • Knowledge of POS systems, restaurant management software, and reservation software 
  • Understanding of restaurant health and safety regulations
  • Ability to remain calm, organized and solution focused in a fast paced environment 
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • RAMP certification

Physical Demands:

  • This position will require the employee to periodically lift, push, pull or carry items up to 50 lbs in weight (putting away deliveries of boxes, cold brew kegs, outdoor furniture)
  • This position requires the employee to stand for extended periods of time 
  • This position will require the employee to periodically climb stairs, ramps or uneven surfaces
