Job Summary

The HR Generalist serves as a key resource to employees and supports the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children. This role provides HR support throughout the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, orientation, employee inquiries, benefits and leave administration, policy and procedure guidance, and other general HR functions. The HR Generalist partners with employees, leaders, and the HR team to promote a positive, service-oriented work environment while ensuring HR practices are consistent with organizational policies and applicable requirements.

The ideal candidate is a highly organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative professional with a minimum of two (2) years of relevant Human Resources Generalist experience. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, sound judgment, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the daily operations of the Human Resources Department and serve as a resource to employees and leaders.
  • Assist with onboarding activities, including coordinating and administering new employee orientation and ensuring required documentation and trainings are completed.
  • Respond to employee questions and provide guidance regarding pay, benefits, leave, HR policies, and procedures.
  • Assist with the consistent interpretation and administration of company policies and practices.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation.
  • Partner with HR team members and department leaders on employee-related matters and organizational initiatives.
  • Support change management, employee engagement, and other HR projects as assigned.
  • Assist with presentations, meetings, training activities, and employee communications.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational, delegation, multitasking, and project management skills while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Provide professional and responsive customer service to employees at all levels of the organization.

Qualifications

Education Requirements

 

  • Completes and maintains all competencies and trainings as required for role.
  • High School Diploma - OR - GED - OR - Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education

 

Experience

 

  • Minimum of two (2) years of relevant Human Resources experience preferred.
