Job Description and Responsibilities

The Philadelphia office of White and Williams LLP, a large multi-practice law firm, is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Human Resources Coordinator to join our Human Resources team. This position provides broad support across key HR functions, including recruiting, candidate engagement, onboarding, benefits administration, employee events, and other HR initiatives.

The successful candidate will have 3 to 7 years of human resources, recruiting, talent acquisition, or professional services experience and demonstrate a strong sense of ownership, initiative, and accountability. This individual will play an integral role in ensuring an exceptional candidate and employee experience while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic law firm environment. EOE/M/F/D/V

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate all aspects of the recruitment process for attorney and business professional positions.
  • Actively engage with candidates throughout the hiring process, ensuring a professional and positive candidate experience.
  • Schedule interviews, coordinate communications, and support hiring managers and interview teams.
  • Assist with onboarding and orientation activities for new hires.
  • Support benefits administration and employee-related HR programs.
  • Plan and coordinate employee engagement activities, events, and firm initiatives.
  • Maintain HR records, databases, and reporting with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Take ownership of key HR processes and ensure timely follow-through on tasks, projects, and deliverables.
  • Demonstrate initiative by identifying opportunities for process improvement and assisting with special projects.
  • Manage competing priorities effectively while adapting to changing business needs and departmental priorities.

Requirements

  • 4-year college degree preferred in business, human resources, or related field.
  • 3 to 7 years of experience in human resources, recruiting, talent acquisition, professional services, law firm administration, or a related field.
  • Professional Human Resources certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong initiative and ability to work independently while maintaining collaboration within a team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage with attorneys, business professionals, candidates, and external partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS/applicant tracking systems.
  • Prior law firm or professional services experience is preferred
