Description & Responsibilities 

The IT Specialist manages and supports the organization's technology infrastructure, focusing on user support, cloud systems administration, and data security. Key components of this role include hardware and software troubleshooting, cloud platform management, and communication.  The IT Specialists ensures reliable, secure, and efficient operation of daily technology systems to advance the organization's mission.  Will also support management and organization with the implementation of IT related projects and initiatives.   This is a single incumbent IT team with management support and assistance & direct support from our 3rd Party IT Vendor (with a helpdesk & other technical supports).  The organization has multiple locations and remote workers (3 residential programs, a legal center and an administration office).   


Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Help Desk & Desktop Support: Provide technical support via phone, email and in-person for Windows computers, mobile devices, and peripherals (Multifunction Copiers, printers, hotspots, etc..) 
  • System Administration: Manage user accounts, permissions, and licensing for Microsoft 365.  
  • Network & Security: Oversee basic network connectivity, firewalls, endpoint protection, and security patching while assisting with staff onboarding and offboarding.

Requirements & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in information technology or the equivalent in education and experience is required.
  • Minimum Microsoft Certified Professional required, additional Certifications a plus. 
  • A minimum of 5 years of network administration or related experience 
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Windows administration, cloud collaboration suites, and basic network troubleshooting.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, non-technical guidance for staff (verbally and in written)
  • Prior project management experience required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision and to follow through on assigned projects and strong organizational skills are required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required, personal vehicle is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team member is required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in communication, both verbal and in writing, is required.
  • Satisfactory child abuse, criminal and FBI clearances, required pre-hire and on-going.
