Job DetailsLevel: ExperiencedJob Location: Girard College - Philadelphia, PA 19121Position Type: Regular Full TimeEducation Level: High School/GEDSalary Range: $39,499.20 - $39,499.20  This regular full-time position performs a variety of tasks that support the operations of the Laundry Department.  Current hours for this position are from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday to Friday.  Hours are subject to change.   DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: Service students by exchanging clothing, repairing clothing, etc. Check pockets of dirty clothing for any items before laundering Sort clean clothing, put in numerical order, hang clothing or store in designated location. Press clothing Bundle clothing for Junior School and other students Maintain sizing information for students and record changes.  Track student information on the computer. Separate damaged clothing for seamstress to repair Fit and measure children for clothing Assist seamstress when necessary Perform other laundry duties as required       QualificationsREQUIREMENTS: Very good verbal communication skills Must have High School Diploma Customer service orientation and the ability to work well with students, co-workers and staff.  Ability to work well as part of a team. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to push carts and/or transports to work areas Ability to lift clothing from carts Ability to bend to put away clothing in lower cubicles   Ability to read small print on clothing such as names and numbers Ability to read and write Candidate must have some manual sewing skills for light repairs Ability to reach above shoulders to hang clothing
