ABOUT EIP

Energy Infrastructure Partners LLC (EIP) is a minority-owned business specializing in energy efficiency, electrification, decarbonization, and demand-side management programs. With offices in New York, Illinois, California, Oregon, Pennsylvania, and Washington, EIP combines national reach with local market understanding. Our work advances sustainable energy solutions, supports economic development, and prioritizes benefits for disadvantaged communities. As a leader in clean energy program implementation and consulting, EIP is proud to help clients achieve meaningful environmental and economic outcomes through innovative, high-impact projects.

Position Description

EIP is seeking a highly motivated Contractor & Customer Finance Outreach Representative to support implementation of an energy efficiency financing initiative on behalf of a major Pennsylvania investor-owned utility company. In this role, you will support outreach, education, and relationship management efforts with contractors, trade allies, implementation partners, and customers to increase awareness and use of financing options for eligible energy efficiency projects.

The Contractor & Customer Finance Outreach Representative will play an important role in helping financing become an integrated part of the customer journey. This includes working with energy efficiency program implementation contractors and other delivery partners to ensure financing options are understood and promoted consistently, engaging contractors and trade allies that can connect customers to financing resources, and helping customers understand how financing can support project implementation.

This role will also support development of a matching function that connects customers, contractors, and trade allies with appropriate financing providers. The Contractor & Customer Finance Outreach Representative will work closely with internal staff, implementation partners, and the lender-facing team members to help ensure financing options are communicated effectively, referrals are coordinated, and financing support is accessible and actionable in the market.

The ideal candidate is relationship-driven, organized, comfortable engaging both contractors and customers, and able to translate financing concepts into practical, market-facing messaging that supports project uptake.

Objectives of this Role

  • Contractor and Trade Ally Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with implementation contractors, trade allies, and other market actors that can help promote financing for energy efficiency projects.
  • Customer Outreach and Education: Increase customer awareness of available financing options and help customers understand how financing can support project implementation.
  • Financing Integration: Help ensure financing is positioned as a practical part of the project development process rather than a separate or after-the-fact offering.
  • Referral and Matching Support: Support the process of connecting customers, contractors, and trade allies with financing providers based on project type, customer needs, and lender fit.
  • Market Development: Help expand market awareness and use of financing solutions by identifying barriers, building relationships, and strengthening communication channels.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with internal program staff, implementation partners, and the lender-facing team member to support a coordinated financing network.
  • Performance Tracking: Track outreach activity, contractor engagement, referrals, matches, and outcomes to support reporting and continuous improvement.

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

  • Engage Contractors and Trade Allies: Conduct outreach to implementation contractors, trade allies, and related market actors to educate them on the availability and value of financing options for energy efficiency projects.
  • Support Implementation Partner Coordination: Work with implementation partners and delivery teams to ensure financing options are being communicated consistently and integrated into customer engagement and project development activities.
  • Educate Customers on Financing Options: Communicate available financing pathways to customers in a clear and practical way, helping them understand how financing may support project affordability and implementation.
  • Promote Financing as Part of Project Development: Help contractors and customers understand when and how to introduce financing discussions as part of project scoping, proposal development, and customer decision-making.
  • Coordinate Referrals and Matches: Help connect customers, contractors, and trade allies with appropriate financing providers based on project type, customer profile, and lender fit.
  • Support Contractor Participation: Help contractors and trade allies understand how to work with financing partners, what information is needed, and how financing can help move projects forward.
  • Build Market Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors, implementation partners, customer-facing program staff, trade groups, and other stakeholders relevant to financing adoption.
  • Track Outreach and Referral Activity: Maintain accurate records of outreach efforts, contractor engagement, customer interactions, financing referrals, matches, and outcomes in CRM and other tracking systems.
  • Gather Market Feedback: Collect information from contractors, customers, and partners regarding financing barriers, customer objections, contractor needs, and program gaps to inform improvements.
  • Support Communication Materials and Training: Help develop and deliver presentations, talking points, referral guides, job aids, and other materials that support financing outreach and education.
  • Coordinate with Lender-Facing Staff: Work closely with the lender-facing team member to help ensure financing partners are matched appropriately to opportunities and that market-side feedback informs network development.
  • Prepare Reports and Updates: Develop regular updates on outreach activity, contractor engagement, customer interest, referral volume, financing matches, and market insights.
  • Support Program Improvement: Recommend strategies to improve contractor participation, customer awareness, referral quality, financing utilization, and overall effectiveness of the financing initiative.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, environmental studies, finance, or a related field; or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in commercial finance in an outreach, account management, loan officer, marketing, customer engagement, or similar role.
  • Relationship Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to build and maintain productive external relationships with contractors, customers, partners, or other stakeholders.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain financing concepts and program offerings clearly to non-financial audiences.
  • Customer and Market Orientation: Strong ability to understand customer needs, contractor perspectives, and market barriers and translate that understanding into practical engagement strategies.
  • Organization and Follow-Through: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple relationships, track referrals and activities, and follow through consistently on opportunities.
  • Collaboration Skills: Ability to work effectively across internal teams and with external partners in a coordinated, service-oriented environment.
  • Technology Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using CRM systems, spreadsheets, and outreach or project tracking tools.
  • Mission Alignment: Commitment to sustainability, energy efficiency, and delivering high-quality service in support of equitable clean energy outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Utility Program Experience: Experience supporting utility-sponsored energy efficiency or demand-side management programs.
  • Contractor or Trade Ally Experience: Experience working with contractors, implementers, distributors, trade allies, or other market actors involved in project development and delivery.
  • Customer-Facing Program Experience: Experience supporting customer recruitment, account management, or program participation in a commercial, industrial, multifamily, or small business setting.
  • Financing Familiarity: General familiarity with commercial lending, equipment finance, energy project finance, customer financing, or related financing concepts.
  • Implementation Partner Coordination: Experience working in a multi-party delivery model involving utilities, prime contractors, subcontractors, and field partners.
  • Training and Communication Materials Experience: Experience developing or delivering training, presentations, guides, or outreach materials for external audiences.
  • Program Delivery Experience: Experience Tracking referrals, supporting coordinated service delivery, and working within a structured program environment with reporting requirements.

WE OFFER

  • Competitive base salary ($70,000-$95,000) commensurate with experience and qualifications.
  • Performance-based bonus tied to individual and company performance.
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan with employer match.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.
  • Paid vacation, sick time, and holidays.
  • Professional development and training opportunities.
  • A dynamic, inclusive work environment that encourages collaboration, innovation, and growth.
