About The Position
 Wellhart is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner specializing in Cardiothoracic Surgery for a locum tenens position at a Multi-Specialty Clinic in Pennsylvania. This exciting opportunity offers coverage in both day and night shifts, starting on 07/01/2025. The assignment requires 12-hour shifts (7a-7p or 7p-7a) for an initial contract of 36 days, with a possibility of extension. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with admissions and consultations for cardiac surgery patients, have experience in airway management, central and arterial line cannulation, and ultrasound. Responsibilities include daily rounding on cardiac ICU patients, managing a census of 6-10 patients on average in the CTICU, and handling various cardiac procedures such as AVR, MVR, CABG, Ascending aorta, and ECMO. This role provides an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Cardiothoracic Surgery NP to contribute their expertise in a dynamic healthcare setting while enjoying the flexibility of locum tenens work.

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform daily rounds on cardiac ICU patients
- Manage admissions and consultations for the cardiac surgery service
- Handle airway management, central and arterial line cannulation
- Utilize ultrasound for patient care and diagnostics
- Assist in various cardiac procedures including AVR, MVR, CABG, Ascending aorta, and ECMO
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Ensure high-quality patient care and safety in the CTICU
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records using Epic EHR system
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures
- Participate in any necessary staff meetings or training sessions
Additional Information:
- Must be licensed to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Pennsylvania
- Experience in cardiothoracic surgery and critical care preferred
- Familiarity with Epic EHR system is advantageous
- Flexibility to work both day and night shifts
