Job DetailsJob Location: Philadelphia, PA 19136Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: DayPosition Summary The Medical Assistant provides clinical and administrative support to members of the healthcare team to ensure the delivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. This role supports daily operations within the medical unit and assists with patient flow, documentation, and clinical procedures in accordance with organizational policies and applicable regulations.   QualificationsResponsibilities and Duties Clinical Support Prepare treatment and examination rooms prior to patient visits. Interview patients and obtain relevant medical history information. Measure, record, and document vital signs and other clinical data in the patient’s medical record. Provide basic patient education as directed by licensed healthcare staff. Assist healthcare providers with examinations, treatments, and procedures performed in the medical unit. Collect specimens from patients and prepare samples for laboratory analysis, as required and within scope of practice. Administrative Support Maintain adequate levels of clinical and clerical supplies for the unit. Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed, including documentation support and record maintenance. Professional Practice and Compliance Adhere to organizational policies, safety standards, and infection control procedures. Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and other applicable regulations. Participate in required training, emergency preparedness, and disaster drills. Perform additional duties as assigned. Education and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or a comparable program required. Prior experience working in a physician’s office, clinic, or ambulatory healthcare setting preferred. Current CPR certification required.
