Role Summary

The Associate Stylist’s primary role is to support the styling team daily to maintain styling responsibilities, studio duties, and styling on/off set. The associate stylist will work closely with the studio team, including the Styling Manager, Assistant Stylists,  Art Directors, Digital Tech, and Sample Coordinator to ensure all products are styled, shot, and named correctly. This person must have a passion for current fashion trends, styling, and brand photography and have the ability and desire to grow into a stylist with time. The candidate must be organized, reliable and dedicated to the role within the studio as well as have a strong work ethic, willingness to learn and openness to feedback.

Role Responsibilities

  • Work with the styling team to curate and execute 45–60 comprehensive looks daily, ensuring all outfits are shoot-ready and aligned with seasonal guidelines
  • Communicate with sample coordinator any needs that are required before the shoot day
  • Work with the Managing Stylist, Sr. Stylist, and Art Directors to learn and understand brand standards, fit, and on set styling techniques 
  • Partner with the styling team to seasonally refresh the styling closet by removing old samples and assisting the Managing Stylist to source new styling pieces and trend-focused accessories
  • Work with the Assistant Stylists to create any and all shotlists, trackers, and styling documents for the team
  • Review studio sample practices and procedures, determine whether improvements can be made and work to implement changes as appropriate
  • Support on-set Art Director, Photographer, and Digital Tech to ensure shot count is maintained and that all call outs regarding samples are communicated
  • Attend stylist meetings to ensure full understanding of product and trend direction
  • Conduct research and maintain awareness of trends to develop styling direction
  • Have the ability to communicate cross functionally with buying teams and sample coordinator to acquire samples and understand reasons for reshoots and additional photo needs
  • Communicate effectively across teams, including Buying and the Sample Coordinator, to secure necessary samples and clarify the reasons behind reshoots and requests for additional photography.
  • Have an understanding of on set etiquette and bring a good attitude and positivity to the team
  • Any other duties as instructed by the Managing Stylist

Role Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion, Business, or a related field.
