Direct Hire Patient Access Representative Supervisor Role $65,000 to $70,000 per year in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Responsibilities of the Patient Access Supervisor:
- Manages the daily operations of patient registration, scheduling, and admissions, ensuring accurate data collection and high-quality service
- Oversees daily patient registration, insurance verification, training of staff, and financial counseling, ensuring efficient workflow and compliance
- Mentors and trains staff while also providing coaching, monitoring team productivity, quality assurance (QA), and accuracy rates and reporting to leadership
- Ensures accurate insurance verification, obtains authorizations, counsels patients on financial liability, and manages cash reconciliation.
- Analyze metrics regarding patient access, registration speed, and accuracy, Reporting outcomes to management
Requirements for the Patient Access Supervisor:
- Associate’s degree in healthcare or business admin required OR in lieu of degree a minimum of 5 years of work experience in a physician office/practice, hospital setting, healthcare insurance provider or other healthcare relevant experience AND a minimum of 2 years of patient registration experience required AS WELL AS a Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a physician practice or hospital environment, healthcare insurance provider or other healthcare relevant experience required.
- Significant Patient registration experience required in a physician office/practice, hospital setting, healthcare insurance provider or other healthcare relevant setting
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, health insurance (Medicare/Medicaid), and HIPAA compliance
- Excellent communication, customer service, and computer skills
- Ability to lead teams, solve problems, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication and customer service skills when interacting with staff, patients, families, and leadership
Compensation, Benefits, and Schedule for the Patient Access Supervisor:
- Compensation starts at $60,000 per year but can be more based on years of experience
