Job DetailsJob Location: MTC-Philadelphia - Philadelphia, PA 19131Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: 4 Year DegreeTravel Percentage: Up to 25%Job Shift: DayJob Category: Professional ServicesMalvern Health is currently seeking a Full-Time Registered Dietitian to work at our Malvern Treatment Center and Malvern Behavioral Health facility in Philadelphia.  The Registered Dietitian is responsible for assessing and supervising the nutritional need of the patients, providing age-and developmentally-appropriate diet planning, education and assuring quality nutritional care is provided to all patients in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Malvern Health and the American Dietetics Association. The Registered Dietitian will work closely with the Nursing and Dietary departments. This position would report to our Malvern location at 3905 Ford Road Philadelphia, PA 19131. The Registered Dietitian position is a full-time, benefit eligible role offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.   JOB RESPONSIBILITES: 1. Completes Nutritional Screening and Assessment within 72 hours of requested consult with consideration to age, mental, social and psychical status of patient. 2. Identifies patients dietary needs integrating information obtained through anthropometric measurements and input from family, significant other and/or primary care giver. 3. Accurately and thoroughly documents assessment and dietary plans using appropriate clinical terminology. 4. Ensures nutritional value of meals through participating in meal planning, observing meal trays 5. Develops realistic and measurable goals and desired outcomes incorporating patients diagnosis, medical issues and length of stay. 6. Completes designated portion of multidisciplinary continuing care plan. 7. Provides care in a clinically effective manner demonstrating sound and professional judgement and competency. 8. Designs nutrition programs appropriate to the developmental needs of the patient. 9. Provides age-appropriate individual and group nutritional education to patients and families as needed and as part of the continuing care plan. 10. Accurately and thoroughly documents care plan using goals developed in the master treatment plan and treatment plan revisions, as needed. 11. Ensures age appropriate and clinically required nutritional supplies/foods are available.  12. Reports unsafe conditions with kitchen equipment or environment. Takes action to correct conditions. 13. Demonstrates knowledge and use of infection control/universal precaution principles to prevent exposure to and transmission of disease. Malvern Health owns and operates inpatient services throughout southeastern Pennsylvania. Our facilities and programs treat a full range of behavioral health issues including substance use disorder, depression, anxiety, childhood disorders, behavioral issues, trauma and family issues. The specifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability to meet the minimum requirements for this position. Staff must demonstrate flexibility in providing care to varied populations including children, adolescents, adults, older adults and dually diagnosed patients. Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition, Master's Degree preferred Experience: One year of clinical dietitian experience in a health care environment.
