40 HR Day Shift, (7am-3:30pm, 7am-5:30pm, on call)
Performs role of surgical assistant for a variety of surgical procedures under direct supervision of attending surgeon. Performs role of circulating nurse and/or scrub nurse when required. Assesses patient status, maintains a safe care environment, manages equipment use and delegates/directs care provided by Surgical Technologists and other support personnel.
Education
Bachelor's Degree Nursing Required
Other Graduate of accredited school of Nursing; successful completion of additional educational preparation specific to the role of the RNFA including a supervised clinical component. Required
Experience
3 years experience in a perioperative RN role (Required) Required
General Experience demonstrating skills in intraoperative nursing behaviors - handling tissue, using instruments, providing exposure, providing hemostasis. Required
Licenses
Basic Life Support Required
Certified Nurse Operating Room Required
PA Registered Nurse License Required
Advanced Cardiac Life Support Preferred
Certified First Assistant Preferred
Multi State Compact RN License Required Or
