Actuary team members partner with our broking staff to create reinsurance solutions for our Lockton Re clients and prospects. This client facing role works to provide unique insight through analysis of our client data. The Actuary team members are also responsible for developing client relationships and managing junior staff.


Actuary responsibilities
•    Work with broking team to drive production efforts
•    Advise clients and prospects on reinsurance strategy
•    Review actuarial work products created by junior staff
•    Build stochastic underwriting models to analyze reinsurance structures
•    Maintain functional knowledge of products and services that Lockton offers (both insurance and reinsurance)
•    Focus on innovation with a view to constantly improve our process and efficiency
•    Contribute to the development of actuarial tools and processes, including emerging AI technologies
•    Contribute to the training of actuarial students
 



Actuary qualifications
•    FCAS, ACAS, or near-ACAS
•    Excellent market research, analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
•    Organizational and time management skills to prioritize workloads to meet time sensitive deadlines required
•    Experience with programming languages, preferably R or Python
•    Stochastic modeling / dynamic financial analysis experience a plus
•    Reinsurance experience a plus
•    Broad and deep knowledge of the P&C Insurance Industry
•    Demonstrated ability to protect confidential information
•    Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
•    Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills and ability to interact with Associates at all levels of responsibility to create a positive work environment
