JOB SUMMARY:

This is a sales role. As a Leasing and Sales Professional, you turn interest into signed leases. You generate and follow up on leads, engage prospects by phone and in person, tour the community, and guide people from first contact through move-in. You set the tone for how every prospect and resident experiences the property. No prior leasing or property-management experience is required. If you can sell and take care of customers, we will teach you the multifamily side.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Generate and work leads. Respond quickly to calls, emails, and walk-ins, and follow up until you reach an answer.
  • Create your own traffic. Reach out to new prospects and referral sources instead of waiting for leads to come to you.
  • Get out in public. Attend local and community events to meet potential renters and build interest in the property.
  • Engage every prospect. Learn what they need, answer their questions, and show why the community is a fit.
  • Give great tours. Show the community, vacant apartments, models, and amenities.
  • Ask for the sale. Take applications and deposits and move qualified prospects toward approval.
  • Follow up fully. Stay with each prospect from first contact through move-in, and keep in touch afterward.
  • Manage the CRM. Log every lead, keep each prospect's status and notes current, and use the CRM to drive follow-up and track traffic and conversion.
  • Make people feel welcome. Make every visitor feel expected and cared for from the moment they arrive.
  • Keep it show-ready. Keep apartments show-ready and the office clean and orderly, and watch the property's curb appeal.
  • Hit leasing goals. Meet your monthly leasing targets.
  • Handle light paperwork. Help prospects complete their application and pass it to the Community Manager, who handles approvals, and keep quick notes on your prospect activity.
  • Know the market. Shop competitor properties and stay current on the local market.
  • Support retention. Help with resident retention and renewal follow-up alongside the Community Manager.
  • Pitch in. Take on special projects from the Community Manager and raise any concerns early.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Sales results in any industry. You can generate leads, reach out to new prospects, engage them, close, and follow up through the entire sale.
  • A track record. You have hit sales goals or quotas before.
  • Strong communication. You present well and ask for the sale, by phone and in person.
  • Customer-first mindset. You make people feel welcome and want to come back.
  • Fun, hardworking, outgoing. You are willing to have fun at work, work hard, be outgoing, and start conversations with people you do not know.
  • Coachable and dependable. High energy, dependable, and punctual, with flexibility to work weekends.
  • The basics. High school diploma or equivalent, and a current, valid driver's license.
  • No industry experience required. Prior leasing, real estate, or property-management experience is not needed. We train you on the industry and our systems.
  • Fair Housing training provided. You will follow Fair Housing laws in every interaction. We train you on these after you are hired, so you do not need to know them beforehand.
  • Sales CRM experience. You have used a CRM to manage leads, track prospects, and stay on top of follow-up. We train you on our specific system.
