Our HVAC Department in Philadelphia provides engineering services for a wide range of project types and market sectors and is a perfect place to continue your growth as a well-rounded professional by participating in some of the region’s most exciting, sustainable, and impactful projects. Some of the Responsibilities include:

  • Lead engineer to perform all calculations, design concepts and supervision of all project level production.
  • Direct a team of junior engineers, depending on project size and complexity.
  • Understand and maintain production and graphics standards (primarily in Revit) to allow leadership and direction for the design team.
  • Assure that tasks are complete, accurate and in accordance with good engineering practices.
  • Develop concepts, select equipment, and document infrastructure and utility designs for air and water systems.
  • Show knowledge and experience with calculations, equipment selection, air and hydronic distribution systems, heating and cooling plants, and construction documents
  • Attend field visits, meet with clients and vendors as necessary.
  • Coordinate specific design aspects with architects, clients, and other team members.
  • Help develop and mentor junior and other team members.
  • Work closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects (Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Low Voltage, etc.).

 

Essential Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience
  • Professional Engineering license preferred
  • Science & Technology project experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills required
  • Ability to use good judgement and make decisions with authority
  • Professional commitment to sustainability
  • Proficient in computer use and software including, but not limited to: Revit, Excel, Word, Bluebeam.
  • This position will interact directly with clients; a business acumen mindset is necessary

The total compensation that we expect to pay for this position is dependent on years of experience, licensure, education, geographic location, and project portfolio but expected to be in the $125,000 to $175,000 range.
