The Senior Marketing Specialist will join the energy marketing Account Services team and support planning, development, implementation and optimization of marketing and advertising strategies and communications activities to support our client’s energy efficiency efforts. The Account Services team conducts all aspects of marketing to include advertising, strategic planning, research, social media, events, outreach, and partnerships. To implement marketing campaigns, the team works with a 150-person creative and media services group. We help our clients and communities use less energy, save money, and help the environment through the development, implementation and refinement of marketing and outreach initiatives.Â
We are looking for someone who is as passionate about our work as we are and has the skills and attitude to be successful.  This role is designed for someone located in the Philadelphia-area or has strong familiarity with the area, including the ability to bring local customer and community context into marketing recommendations. We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of marketing communications, client service, campaign execution, and coordination who can work with limited day-to-day direction while exercising sound judgment and creative problem solving.
This is predominantly a work-from-home position, as well as additional client-site meetings and occasional team meetings at our headquarters in Reston, VA. Minimal local travel is required.

What you will be doing: 
- Supporting marketing and advertising efforts with an emphasis on customer awareness, engagement, and program participation in the Philadelphia, PA area.  
- Serving as a day-to-day client-facing contributor for assigned workstreams, including organizing updates, preparing materials, presenting recommendations, and helping address client questions or feedback. 
- Collaborating with ICF Creative Services team to fulfill the development of marketing materials, which may include digital and social media, websites, brochures, email and direct mail campaigns, video, print, outdoor, etc. 
- Liaising with the ICF Media Services team to develop, propose, and implement vertical marketing and advertising campaigns, coordinating the deployment of integrated outreach campaigns across broadcast, print, online, social media, events, etc. 
- Using research, performance data, customer insights, and local market context to inform campaign positioning, messaging, targeting, optimization, and recommendations. 
- Leading the review and approval process for marketing materials, including working across the organization to deploy efforts (IT, program management, client). 
- Adhering to project budgets and financial protocols for responsible stewardship of expenses. 
- Preparing monthly reports on activities and results of the marketing program and presenting to clients. 
- Developing and executing business growth strategies, including marketing to potential clients, and responding to RFPs. 
- Travel locally within Philadelphia, PA and occasionally to Reston, VA and other local locations, less than 10% 
What we need you to have (minimum qualifications): 
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field 
- 5+ years of working experience in marketing, advertising, social marketing, or related field, particularly experience working in consumer marketing at an advertising agency or consulting firm. 
OR 
- 9+ years of working experience in marketing, advertising, social marketing, or related field, particularly experience working in consumer marketing at an advertising agency or consulting firm. 
What we would like you to have: 
- Philadelphia-area located or strong familiarity with the area, including the ability to bring local customer and community context into marketing recommendations. 
- Business-to-consumer and/or energy marketing experience.Â
- Developing and implementing marketing communications plans, with the ability to manage and execute advertising, collateral development, earned media, public relations, event coordination digital and social media projects. 
- Experience working in an advertising agency and/or on an account services team, including day-to-day client support, creative briefing, creative review, campaign execution, and performance reporting. 
- Experience driving results through marketing and articulating those results to a variety of stakeholders. 
- Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills.
- Managing creative teams in the production of various advertising assets. 
- Experience launching new products or programs.
- Experience managing a microsite, website, or portal launch.
- Interest in and commitment to energy efficiency, the environment, and sustainable living.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:
