The Facility Services Technician is responsible for maintaining a safe, functional, and well-presented workplace environment. This role supports day-to-day facility operations through a broad range of maintenance, repair, and logistical tasks, ensuring all office spaces meet the firm's operational and aesthetic standards.
Responsibilities
Conduct daily morning walkthroughs to assess facility conditions and identify maintenance needs
Perform bulb replacements throughout all office areas in a timely manner
Replace batteries for trashcans, conference room clocks, and other facility equipment as needed
Submit building maintenance tickets for issues requiring escalation to building management
Perform patch and paint work to maintain the appearance and integrity of walls and surfaces
Complete door repairs to ensure proper function and security
Replace ceiling tiles as needed to maintain a clean and professional environment
Assemble, repair, and restore furniture to maintain a professional office environment
Facilitate furniture breakdowns and coordinate proper disposal of unwanted items
Perform desk modifications to accommodate evolving workspace needs
Fulfill measurement requests in support of space planning and layout initiatives
Place and maintain fridge deodorizers to promote a clean and odor-free kitchen environment
Empty and maintain office shredders on a scheduled and as-needed basis
Perform bulk clean-up tasks to address large-scale tidying and debris removal
Conduct railing cleaning to uphold safety and appearance standards
Coordinate and oversee pest control measures, including drain flushing for drain flies and the placement of roach and rodent traps and sprays
Facilitate furniture moves in support of office reconfigurations and relocations
Process key replacements and fulfill master key requests in accordance with security protocols
Remove and replace office signage as directed
Escort vendors and contractors throughout the facility to ensure compliance with firm access policies
Assemble and disassemble holiday decorations in common areas and throughout the office
Hang pictures and artwork as requested by firm personnel
Monitor and maintain facility supply inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained and restocked proactively

Ability to lift or move 40 lbs. or greater
Ability to grasp, lift or carry packages on a standard wheeled cart with a load capacity of
75 lbs.
Ability to walk, bend, kneel, stand or sit for an extended period of time
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:1+ year of experience in workplace services, facilities support, hospitality, reception, mail services, or related roles preferred.
Technical Skills: Basic proficiency with office equipment (printers, copiers, scanners) and familiarity with workplace service systems or ticketing platforms is preferred.
The Compensation range for this role is 20.00 to 24.00 USD per hour and may be eligible for an annual bonus. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual's location, skills, experience and qualifications.
