About the Opportunity

SOS Personnel is seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and certified Special Education Teacher to join one of our partner schools for the 2026–2027 school year. 

This position serves a 4th/5th grade special education classroom with a maximum of 12 students, allowing teachers to provide individualized instruction in a supportive learning environment. The classroom is supported by a dedicated Behavior Health Worker who assists with both behavioral and instructional needs. 

Responsibilities 

  •  Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with IEPs and state standards. 
  •  Deliver differentiated instruction to meet diverse student needs. 
  •  Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment. 
  •  Monitor student progress and maintain required documentation. 
  •  Collaborate with families, administrators, related service providers, and support staff. 
  •  Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings. 

Qualifications
 
  •  Valid Pennsylvania Special Education Teaching Certification (required) 
  •  Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (Master's preferred) 
  •  Experience teaching elementary-aged students, preferably in special education 
  •  Strong classroom management and communication skills 
  •  Current PA clearances
