Travelers Investigative Services provides industry-first resources designed to detect and deter fraudulent claims. Using some of the most comprehensive technology available, we have the abilities and expertise to identify potential risks and combat fraudulent practices. As an SIU Investigator, you will analyze, summarize and prioritize information to uncover potentially fraudulent activity. The investigator, supporting a Claim Center, will investigate claims deemed suspicious in nature within all lines of business. The investigator will conduct thorough and comprehensive investigations in a dynamic, fast paced environment. This position may include a combination of remote work, work from your residence, and/or work from the Claim Center you support. Candidate must reside in Philadelphia area. Responsibilities include analyzing, monitoring and conveying highly technical information into actionable investigative strategies including the identification of complex case investigations; conducting insurance investigations including applicable database searches with a focus on uncovering all potentially fraudulent aspects of a claim; applying critical thinking to dismantle complex problems; applying Local, State and Federal statutes to ensure investigations comply with laws; providing exceptional customer service; acting as liaison with law enforcement and industry advocates; serving as subject matter expert on fraud; applying rules of evidence; establishing and maintaining liaison networks; identifying cases for potential insurance fraud prosecution; engaging in specialized investigative areas; collaborating with claim department to implement antifraud strategies; testifying to findings; and performing other duties as assigned. Requirements include a minimum of two years investigative experience or three years insurance claim, underwriting or legal related experience, valid driver license, and preferred Bachelor's Degree. Skills required include analytical, problem solving, communication, computer literacy, interviewing, conflict management, self-motivation, knowledge of insurance and claim operations, time management, case management, adaptability, leadership, and presentation skills.
