U.S. Facilities, Inc., a consolidated building maintenance services company, is currently accepting resumes for the position of Stationary Engineer in Philadelphia.

We are currently in need of two Stationary Engineers to work various days 8am-4pm or 4pm-12am.

The Stationary Engineer with minimal supervision, performs preventive, corrective and general maintenance and repairs. The Stationary Engineer will also take immediate action to resolve emergency situations or system breakdowns as well as do routine and preventive maintenance.

The Stationary Engineer 1st Class is a skilled, responsible position in the Engineering Department. The job requires a thorough understanding of Steam Boiler, Chiller and HVAC plant equipment design and operating principles to safely, reliably and efficiently produce and distribute the utilities of steam and chilled water. This position also monitors, tunes and troubleshoots the consumption of these utilities distributed HVAC equipment, such that the various facility spaces are properly conditioned. Accuracy is essential. Occasionally supervises work direction or instruction of other employees.

May be required to perform additional or different duties from those set forth above to address business needs and changing business practices.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school/GED graduate
  • Current Class A Engineer’s license
  • CFC Universal Certificate
  • 3 years’ experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing of heating, air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
  • 3 years’ experience with fire alarm system panel controls.
  • 3 years’ experience working experience with building automation system (BAS) controls and programming.
  • 2 years of boiler and chiller room operations.
  • Must have knowledge of High-Pressure Steam Operations and Heat Transfer.
