Job Title: Direct Care Worker (Private Pay)

Position Summary
The Direct Care Worker provides one-on-one, non-medical support to a private-pay client in their home or community. This role focuses on assisting with daily living activities, ensuring safety, promoting independence, and enhancing overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Provide mobility support, including transfers and ambulation assistance
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding if needed
- Perform light housekeeping (laundry, dishes, tidying living areas)
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Accompany client to appointments or community activities (if required)
- Monitor and report changes in the client’s physical, emotional, or mental condition
- Maintain a safe and clean environment
- Follow care plans and client/family preferences
- Document services provided as required
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- Previous caregiving or direct care experience preferred
- Experience with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or memory care is a plus
- Ability to follow directions and work independently
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable transportation (if transportation duties are required)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, transfer, or assist clients (up to [X] lbs)
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
Preferred Certifications (not always required)
- CPR/First Aid
- PCA, HHA, or CNA certification
Work Environment
- Private home setting
