Job Details
This position is responsible for the accurate and timely performance of various noninvasive cardiology tests diagnostic testing such as cardiac stress tests, Holter monitors, and EKGs in an appropriate manner so that the Cardiology Department provides high quality patient care. Should have the ability to operate all diagnostic equipment within the Cardiology department.Job Description
- Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
- Accurate performance, timely completion of studies according to cardiology workload and clinical urgency.
- Perform electrocardiogram procedures according to established protocols with proper labeling to ensure timely response to physician orders and the appropriate testing of patients.
- Performs Stress Tests - Nuclear and non-Nuclear - according to department policy to ensure timely response to physician orders and the appropriate testing of patients.
- Performs Holter Monitor testing according to department policy to ensure timely response to physician orders and the appropriate testing of patients
- Reviews and summarizes Holter Monitor recordings to provide accurate data for physician interpretation of EKG tracings.
- Assist with CPR as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
