About The Position

 Barton Associates is seeking a skilled Internal Medicine Physician Assistant for a locum tenens position in Pennsylvania. This 120-day assignment begins on 05/23/2025, with potential for extension. The ideal candidate will work Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. The PA will provide care for patients aged 10 and above, conducting wellness visits, women's health services, small biopsies, seasonal shots, and chronic health visits. Responsibilities include caring for both chronic and acute patients, collaborating with nurses for documentation, and traveling to a nursing home once a week for supplemental coverage. Experience with Medent EMR is preferred.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Conduct wellness visits for patients aged 10 and above

• Perform women's health services, including Pap smears, routine check-ups, and mammogram referrals

• Carry out small biopsies and administer seasonal shots

• Manage chronic health visits and provide care for acute patients

• Collaborate with nurses to document cases and procedures

• Maintain accurate and timely patient charting

• Travel to a nursing home once a week for supplemental coverage

• Utilize Medent EMR for patient management and record-keeping

• Adhere to all safety protocols and industry best practices

Additional Information:

• Must be licensed to practice as a Physician Assistant in Pennsylvania

• Experience in internal medicine and women's health required

• Familiarity with Medent EMR preferred

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills essential

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
