Sonic Summary

The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for performing radiographic procedures to produce images for licensed independent practitioners.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and have graduated from a two-year AMA approved radiologic technology program.
Relevant experience in the field is required, along with a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
The position requires maintaining knowledge of radiation protection and safety, as well as excellent patient care and communication skills.
The salary for this role is competitive, and a Basic Life Support certification is required, while an Amer Reg Radiologic Technlgst license is preferred.

The Radiologic Technologist performs radiographic procedures, producing images for the interpretation by, or at the Request of a licensed independent practitioner. Radiographers demonstrate an understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology. Radiographers must maintain a high degree of accuracy in radiographic positioning and exposure technique. They maintain knowledge of radiation protection and safety. Radiographers prepare, administer and document activities related to contrast media and medications in accordance with state and federal regulations and institutional policy. Radiographers remain sensitive to the physical, cultural and emotional needs of the patient through excellent communication, patient assessment, patient monitoring and patient care skills.
