Position Summary: The Department of Neurosurgery at Penn is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented clinical research coordinator to support ongoing clinical and outcomes research in patients with pituitary tumors and anterior skull base brain tumors. This individual will play a key role in managing and organizing clinical trials and data to support research efforts aimed at improving surgical outcomes and quality of life for this patient population. This role involves collecting, organizing, and managing clinical data, including entering information into REDCap and maintaining accurate and comprehensive databases. The coordinator will work closely with faculty and clinical teams to ensure high-quality data collection and compliance with research protocols. The coordinator will also assist in the management of relevant clinical trials including screening patients, subject enrollment, and collection of clinical data. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate the collection and entry of clinical and outcomes data for patients with pituitary tumors and anterior skull base brain tumors. Maintain and manage research databases (including REDCap), ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and compliance with institutional and regulatory standards. Assist in the management of relevant clinical trials involving these patients including screening patients, subject enrollment, and collection of clinical data. Work closely with neurosurgery, otolaryngology rhinology, and endocrinology faculty, fellows, residents, and research personnel to identify relevant clinical data points and ensure standardized data collection. Participate in the development of data collection instruments, protocols, and standard operating procedures. Assist in the preparation of research materials including IRB submissions, abstracts, presentations, and manuscripts. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support research projects and data analysis efforts. Help monitor study progress and maintain documentation in accordance with institutional and federal regulations. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and 1-2 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Degree in a health-related or scientific field preferred.
