This position within the Superior Court Executive Administrator’s Office is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of all core functions of the Superior Court’s financial operations. The Fiscal Coordinator will work under the direction of the Court’s Executive Administrator and must possess the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with an enhanced level of professionalism and attention to detail. The Fiscal Coordinator must also be able to identify problems and spot potential issues with financial operations.

Typical Duties

  • Analyzes all contracts for terms and conditions that create financial exposure to Superior Court.  This includes but is not limited to Legal Systems contracts and vendor arrangements.
  • Evaluate real estate leases for terms and conditions that affect procurement such as common area maintenance, real estate taxes, and insurance.
  • Ensures accurate rent payments for 15 judicial chambers (plus appointed seniors) plus 3 administrative offices.  Maintains continued business relationships with landlords to resolve disputes and ensure accurate invoicing.  This, plus any other related work, is all part of the real estate leasing functions of the Procurement Officer.
  • Resolves any disputes and checks all invoices and charges for accuracy.
  • Ensures the accuracy of all contract listings entered into ASAP.
  • Prepares and submits all information required by RJA 509.
  • Oversees administrative team members by creating and conducting performance reviews in conjunction with the Executive Administrator.
  • Oversees overall budget of Superior Court.
  • Works with the Executive Administrator to review purchases and the status of the Superior Court budget.  Reports any concerns or problems to the Executive Administrator.
  • Responsible for communicating with all outside vendors.
  • Responsible for ensuring that AOPC Finance directives and procedures are implemented.
  • Trains and assists all Superior Court staff with business expense policies and processing all routine business invoices.
  • Analyzes fiscal operations and directs projects as required by the Executive Administrator.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned from time to time by the Executive Administrator.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; and
  • Five years of clerical experience within a professional setting.
  • An equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training may be considered.

Salary information

Starting Salary Range

$54,426-$71,426

  • Satisfactory criminal background check required.
