Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) / Site IT Administrator
Job Details
This position is responsible for the setup, management, and compliance of classified computing infrastructure, as well as day‑to‑day IT support for local business users. The role ensures classified systems meet stringent security standards, maintains compliance with DOD cybersecurity requirements, and provides hands-on support for all site-specific IT systems including networks, servers, telecom, and end-user devices. Based in Philadelphia, this role also collaborates with regional A&D sites and Corporate IT to deliver secure, reliable technology solutions.
Responsibilities
• Serve as the site Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO), maintaining the operational security posture for classified computing and network systems.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity, NIST, CMMC, DFAR, and DOD regulations through audits, documentation, and continuous monitoring.
• Develop and maintain system authorization documents, configuration baselines, vulnerability assessments, and investigation records.
• Coordinate security efforts with the Facility Security Officer (FSO), Insider Threat Program Senior Official (ITPSO), and external DCMA Authorizing Officer.
• Deploy, administer, maintain, and support site IT systems including servers, desktops/laptops, manufacturing equipment, network infrastructure, and telecom.
• Provision new IT infrastructure to meet local business requirements and ensure secure system configuration, operation, and disposal.
• Perform system administration including user account management, backups, patching, and recovery validation.
• Provide desktop and manufacturing systems support including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation including operating procedures, network diagrams, and configuration records.
• Assist other A&D sites with support needs and collaborate with Corporate IT on global infrastructure services (WAN, VOIP, video, cloud platforms).
• Maintain licensing compliance, asset inventory, vendor coordination, and software/hardware recommendations.
Minimum Qualifications
• U.S. Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
• AA degree in Computer Technology or related field, or certification from an accredited technical trade school.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in Information Technology.
• Experience with installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of network, telecom, server, desktop, and manufacturing computing systems.
• Knowledge of Windows desktop and server environments, Cisco networking, telecommunications tools, and network management systems.
• Experience working with CMMC, SOX, and DFAR compliance frameworks.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and communicate effectively with end-users and leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
• BS degree in Information Systems or related field.
• Relevant certifications including A+, Network+, Microsoft MCSP, ITIL Foundations.
• Completion of ISSM training as outlined by the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency A&A Process Manual.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience supporting IT systems within manufacturing environments and Aerospace & Defense organizations.
