The position will provide behavioral health evaluations, acute therapy and support services for the students in Jefferson East Falls Counseling Center. The employee will also facilitate new student orientations and outreach events. Essential Functions: Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson. Provides comprehensive assessment, interventions, individual therapy, group therapy and other psychosocial treatment modalities. Provides effective treatment planning and assists clients in successfully achieving goals. Participates in outreach, wellness, and psychoeducational programming to the campus community. Provides urgent trauma therapy and de-escalation to the campus community. Competencies (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required): Maintains a high standard of professionalism and confidentiality within the Department. Maintains working knowledge of best practices in the field of college mental health. Works collaboratively with counseling center staff and campus partners, documents accurately within the medical record of clients, as well as, other forms to meet city, state and federal regulatory requirements. Attends assigned meetings at all levels of the organization. Supports the University by providing consultative services to the faculty, staff, students, clients and their family members as needed. Facilitates outreach events as needed. Other duties at assigned. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Education: Masters Degree in Social Services related field required. AND Experience: Prior clinical experience in outpatient clinical behavioral health or college counseling preferred. Minimum Certifications, Registration or License Requirements: Must be a licensed clinician in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Additional Information: Microsoft office knowledge. Previous experience working with college athletes preferred.
