Maintenance Technician

SSH Real Estate, is a dynamic and innovative, full-service Real Estate Company providing a wide range of Owner, Tenant and Development expertise throughout Philadelphia.  Located in Center City, Philadelphia, SSH Real Estate has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Technician with commercial building experience. 

The Maintenance Technician is part of a team responsible for overseeing maintenance and repairs to ensure the smooth operation of our commercial properties. 

Key Responsibilities:

- Complete work orders professionally and promptly.

- Perform routine preventative maintenance and equipment checks.

- Handle general repairs (carpentry, painting, pressure washing, grounds maintenance).

- Conduct electrical repairs (install low voltage circuits, replace light bulbs, fixtures, outlets, switches).

- Perform plumbing repairs (install faucets, flushometers, toilet fill valves, wax rings).

- Carry out HVAC repairs (replace filters, clean condensers, belt changes, grease equipment).

- Diagnose mechanical equipment issues and recommend repairs or vendor services.

- Maintain records and manage material stock.

Requirements

Physical Requirements:

- Constant movement around properties.

- Regular bending, standing, and lifting (up to 50 lbs).

- Climb ladders and stairs.

Qualifications:

- 2+ years of experience in commercial building maintenance.

- Certification in building trades is a plus.

- Experience with plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems preferred.

- Knowledge of back-up generators, fire pumps, boilers, and BAS preferred.
