This is a provisional position. This position is expected to last between 90 and 270 days, with the possibility of converting to a permanent position. Permanency is not a guarantee for any provisional position or employee.

 

Provisional employees are entitled to medical benefits (subject to eligibility rules) and earn personal and sick time.

 

Expected Hours and Schedule: $19.11 - $20.05/hour | 32.5 hours per week, partial year position (approx. 43 weeks), Provisional beginning 08/24/2026

 

Job Overview: We are a fast-paced and high-demand non-profit program that depends on everybody in every position to help our centers function with ease. You will gain diverse experience working with an at-risk population. Cross-training is available and expected for all positions.

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Assist teacher in maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy environment for children and staff
  • Implement active supervision strategies
  • Assist children with individual education plans
  • Assist in lesson planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and assessment for the classroom
  • Implement screenings and assessments
  • Data entry

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED working towards CDA to completed within two years of hire required (required)
  • Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred)
  • Experience working with young children required
  • Two years experience in early childhood education and direct experience working with at-risk population and/or Head Start experience preferred

 

The successful candidate will be: compassionate, organized, flexible, a good communicator, a team player

 

Physical abilities: Must be able to lift 30 pounds independently without assistance
